Our Story
Airplane Mode Publishing House
Airplane Mode Publishing House is a small, family-owned independent press.
We started because we couldn't find the books we wanted — for ourselves, and for the children in our lives. So we made them. Both series were built from the same instinct: that a book should be something you want to pick up every single day, not something you push through.
The 365 Daily Reads series came first. We wanted a format that made great ideas genuinely accessible — not summarized into mush, but distilled into something you could hold in a single sitting. One page per day. That's the constraint, and it turns out to be exactly the right one.
The Doodle Dogs series followed. It's built on the same principle: that a children's book should be something a parent wants to read as much as the child does. Original watercolor illustrations on every page. Characters with real personality. Learning material that doesn't feel like homework.
We're a family business. We stay small deliberately. Every title we publish is something we stand behind completely — content, design, production quality, all of it. We don't publish anything we wouldn't keep on our own shelf.
"Airplane mode" is our shorthand for the kind of attention we want our books to receive — and to deserve.
